Jim Ettamarna, Monica Ettamarna

Sutton Growth Group was founded by Jim and Monica Ettamarna.  In addition to our founders, our network consists of professionals with both operating and consulting experience.

Monica brings a passion for helping clients drive impact and achieve results. She focuses on developing and expanding our network of professionals, as well as on business operations. 

Monica earned her BBA in operations management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and her MBA, with a focus on strategic marketing, from Cornell.

 

Her professional experience includes operations and marketing roles at Playtex Apparel (then, a Sara Lee company), strategy consulting at Accenture, and sales and marketing with the inaugural class of GE's Commercial Leadership Program. Monica then held roles of increasing responsibility in marketing, communications, and product development with GE Advanced Materials and, following the business's divestiture to Apollo, with Momentive Performance Materials.

Jim focuses primarily on network development, cultivating and curating our network of talent and clients. Jim also focuses on developing intellectual property, tools, and frameworks to accomplish our dual mission of driving client impact/success, and helping the professionals we place to achieve their aspirations.

Jim received his BBA in operations management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

He began his career at GE, working in finance, Six Sigma, and e-commerce. Then, at McKinsey & Company, he served clients on a range of topics, including Lean transformations. Jim worked as a deal professional and operating advisor for middle-market private equity firms and held executive-leadership roles at Avery Dennison and Staples.

 

Jim has deep cross-functional experience across finance, operations, sales, and strategy, and has worked across industries. He believes that, in today’s business climate, operations is strategic, and operational excellence is critical to commercial success and value creation.
